Police Crack Down on Group Planning Armed Takeover

According To Police.hu, 150 Warrants were Executed Against 11 Suspects for Alleged Armed Coup Plot
A coordinated operation that involved 150 police officers was executed in ten different locations against 11 individuals suspected of plotting an armed takeover in Hungary.
The operation was conducted in several counties, including Veszprém, Pest, Zala, Bács-Kiskun, and Budapest. The suspects were arrested, with eight of them questioned as suspects and three held in detention. The operation follows a video posted in November last year on a social video-sharing platform, where members of the group discussed the formation of “Scythian Hungary” and the arming of “national free military troops.” They also indicated that former and current members of the government would be arrested and a disarmament of the Hungarian police would take place.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NNI) opened a case for the preparation of a violent change in the constitutional order. During the operation, several items were seized, including handguns, ammunition, AK machine guns, gas and alarm weapons, rubber bullet guns, and air guns. Documents denying the existence of the Hungarian state were also discovered, as well as those associated with the organization called “Scythian Hungary.”
Moreover, documents issued by the organization to its members were found, such as identity cards, registration permits, and documents proving diplomatic immunity. The NNI also initiated the arrest of the three individuals detained in connection with the investigation.
The operation was a collaborative effort involving several units, including the National Bureau of Investigation (NNI) and Counter Terrorism Center (TEK).
