Police Officer in Kastamonu Shoots and Kills Wife during Argument
A tragic incident occurred in Kastamonu, where a police officer shot and killed his wife after an argument at home. The shocking event took place on Ankara Street in Saraçlar District, involving ET, a police officer at the Kastamonu Provincial Police Department, and his wife Burçin Sevgi T.
According to reports, the couple had been experiencing a turbulent relationship for some time, which escalated into a heated argument that ultimately turned violent. During the altercation, ET used his service pistol to shoot his wife, Burçin Sevgi T., who tragically lost her life at the scene. The mother of one child succumbed to her injuries caused by the gunshot.
Following the incident, the police officer contacted the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the crime. Consequently, emergency response teams, including health and law enforcement personnel, promptly arrived at the location to address the situation.
Medical professionals later confirmed Burçin Sevgi T.’s death, while the murder suspect, ET, voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. Subsequent investigations conducted by the public prosecutor and crime scene investigators led to the transfer of Burçin Sevgi T.’s body to the morgue at Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital.
