
Police Officer Musa Erdem Laid to Rest in Adıyaman

The village of Elbeyi recently held a ceremony to honor the memory of Martyr Erdem. The emotional event was attended by the martyr’s wife, Didem Erdem, his mother Safiye Erdem, as well as various government officials including Minister Göktaş, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bülent Turan, and Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Ahmet Aydın.
The ceremony was also joined by Governor Osman Varol, Kahta District Governor Selami Korkutata, and other institutional leaders, along with numerous citizens. The family of the martyr, who was a father of two children, was visibly emotional and tearful as they bid their final farewell, hugging the coffin in their moment of grief.
A particularly touching moment occurred when Minister Göktaş cradled and showed affection to Police Officer Erdem’s 20-day-old baby during the ceremony, displaying the deep impact and sense of loss felt by the community.
Following the ceremony, Erdem’s body was laid to rest in the village cemetery after a funeral prayer led by Provincial Mufti Mevlüt Haliloğlu in the afternoon, marking the end of a solemn and dignified occasion to honor the sacrifice of Martyr Erdem.
