Polish Investor Plans 200-Room Hotel in Downtown Budapest
Puro Hotels, a Polish subsidiary of a well-known hotel chain, is making headlines with their latest project in downtown Budapest. The company has started construction on a 200-room hotel on Paulay Ede Street, set to be a modern, four-star establishment with a range of amenities.
According to HVG, the new hotel complex will include a restaurant, café, bar, meeting rooms, a spa, and a fitness centre, catering to the needs of both business and leisure travelers. The Hungarian firm behind this investment, Hotel Budapest Paulay Ltd., has reported impressive assets of over HUF 5.5 billion (approximately EUR 14 million) as of the end of last year.
This downtown project is a significant acquisition for Puro Hotels, as it was purchased from Jordanian businessman Awad Zuhair, who has been actively involved in tourism investments in Budapest. The site of the new hotel was previously occupied by a residential building designed by renowned architect József Hild and boasts an intricate wine cellar system beneath it.
