Poll Shows Trump’s Support for Canada and Greenland Plan at Less Than 20%

A recent survey conducted by The Hill on March 20-24 revealed interesting results regarding the idea of Canada and Greenland becoming part of the United States.

Out of 1677 participants, only 17 percent supported the notion of Canada becoming the 51st state, while a significant 57 percent opposed the idea. Similarly, only 19 percent of respondents favored Greenland joining the country, with 49 percent against it.

The survey also highlighted some uncertainty among participants, with 26 percent feeling unsure about Canada and 32 percent about Greenland.

Interestingly, 43 percent of those surveyed believed that President Trump had focused on the most important issues facing the country in the first two months of his term, while 45 percent thought he prioritized less crucial matters.

President Trump has been vocal about his desire to bring Greenland, an autonomous region of Denmark, under US control, as well as adding Canada as a new state to the country. These survey results provide a snapshot of public opinion on these potential changes to the US territory.
