Possible Title: Israeli Army Considers Changes to Agreement with Hamas
Israeli Army Prepares for Prisoner Exchange with Hamas
At a recent press conference, Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that the Israeli army had received a preliminary list of women and children to be released by Hamas in Gaza. Hagari also warned that Hamas may attempt to exploit the reconciliation and humanitarian pause in the conflict to spread false news and conduct psychological warfare.
While emphasizing that the general lines of the agreement are not yet final and may be subject to change, Hagari stated that the prisoner exchange with Hamas would mark the beginning of the return of all prisoners. He also indicated that the Israeli army would continue the war in Gaza following the exchange.
Hagari shared information about the losses suffered by the Israeli army, reporting that a total of 392 soldiers have died since October 7. However, specific details about the number of soldiers who died since the start of the land operation on October 27 were not provided.
In addition to the situation in Gaza, Hagari drew attention to the conflict with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border, expressing concern that the situation there could escalate at any time. He affirmed that the Israeli army would strongly attack the points where missiles were launched in southern Lebanon.
The agreement between Hamas and Israel is set to take effect on Friday, November 24, at 07:00 local time. As part of the agreement, a humanitarian pause in the conflict will last for four days, during which 150 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons will be released in exchange for 50 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas. The humanitarian break will also facilitate the entry of aid into Gaza through the Rafah Border Gate.
