Preserving Our Earth: BRTK’s Call to Action
President Ersin Tatar recently attended the opening ceremony of the 16th Tepebaşı (Yorgoz) Tulip Festival, where he explored the festival grounds and engaged in conversations with citizens.
During his speech at the opening ceremony in Tepebaşı Village Square, President Tatar highlighted the unique blend of history, natural beauty, and culture that can be found in Tepebaşı. He emphasized the importance of preserving the environment and passing it on to future generations.
President Tatar also stressed the need to protect the natural beauty of Tepebaşı and surrounding villages, urging for construction to be carried out in compliance with legal regulations and in coordination with relevant institutions.
As a Turkish Cypriot, President Tatar emphasized the distinct identity, lifestyle, customs, traditions, and love of the homeland that exist within the community. He underlined the importance of safeguarding nature, culture, and the state.
Drawing attention to the abundance of natural beauty in the country, President Tatar urged for the protection of not just the tulip flower, but also the soil, plants, and overall ecosystem.
The 16th Tepebaşı Tulip Festival was not only a celebration of nature and culture, but also served as a reminder of the importance of environmental preservation and cultural heritage for present and future generations.
