Derviş Eroğlu Commemorates Rauf Denktaş on the 12th Anniversary of his Death
On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the death of Founding President Rauf Denktaş, Third President Derviş Eroğlu paid tribute to his legacy and highlighted the ongoing struggle for the Turkish Cypriot people.
Eroğlu emphasized Denktaş’s role as a rare leader who dedicated his life to the Turkish Cypriots, undertaking crucial responsibilities in the national struggle and transforming the community from one that was marginalized to a state-owning people. He expressed his gratitude for the privilege of working with Denktaş for many years and affirmed their shared vision for the Turkish Cypriot people.
