President Erdogan Makes Key Statements in Mardin, Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addresses the crowd in Mardin ahead of the elections, telling them that they must not let terrorism and those aligned with it divide their country. He pledged that Turkey will continue to protect its citizens and that those who have ties to terrorist organisations have no ties to the nation. Erdogan reminded the crowd of the investments he has made in Mardin, totaling 97 billion liras over the past 21 years, including the establishment of 15 hospitals with 1424 beds and the ongoing construction of the Mardin City Hospital. He urged the people of Mardin to come out and vote on May 14th to protect their future and the achievements of the last 21 years. Erdogan also criticised opponents of his coalition, whom he referred to as Mr. Kemal and accused of implementing a project behind recent massacres.
