President Erdoğan mourns with Turkey as he attends Gültekin Family funeral in Bolu
Doctor Enes Gültekin, who tragically lost his life in a hotel fire at Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort, was honored with a ceremony at the hospital where he worked.
The ceremony, held in memory of Gültekin at the İzzet Baysal State Hospital, was attended by the doctor’s family, colleagues, and fellow healthcare professionals.
Gültekin’s body was brought to the hospital morgue and later placed in a hearse after a prayer service. The procession then made its way to the Kalıcı Konutlar Mosque, where the funeral prayer took place, with loved ones, colleagues, and hospital staff paying their respects.
Describing Gültekin as a beloved and valuable colleague, Murat Kemal Keskin shared, “We worked side by side with Enes. We shared moments of laughter and tears. He was a kind-hearted person who was always willing to help others. We are deeply saddened by his loss.”
Similarly, colleague Yeşim Alkan fondly remembered Gültekin as a genuinely good soul, saying, “I have never known him to show any malice or harm towards anyone. May he rest in peace.”
Aydın Ağır, a security officer at the hospital, reflected on Gültekin’s impact, noting that he was a cherished teacher figure who was adored by both patients and staff alike.
The tragic loss of Dr. Enes Gültekin has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, as they mourn the passing of a dedicated healthcare professional and a compassionate soul.
