
President Erdoğan prioritizes TRNC in speeches

President Ersin Tatar has returned to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) after completing his contacts in Ankara, where he visited at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During a press conference at the Ercan Airport, Tatar evaluated his Ankara contacts, thanking President Erdogan for his support. Tatar also mentioned that in his recent speech at the Turkish elections, Erdogan expressed his hope for what the Republic of Turkey would do in the new period. Tatar explained that he had meetings with different presidents and heads of state at the ceremonies and discussed the latest situation in the TRNC and the new policy supported by the Turkish Republic. He also joined the Turkish States Parliamentary Foundation and made a speech on the Cyprus issue. The aim is to strengthen the institutions and organizations of an independent TRNC, Tatar said, adding that he hoped to continue to increase the various understandings and cooperation between the new council of ministers, the TRNC government, and the two states.
