President Erdoğan Returns to Turkey After Euro 2020 Match
President Erdoğan has returned to Turkey after attending the Euro 2020 match at the Berlin Olympic Stadium, where Turkey bid farewell to the tournament with a score of 2-1. He was welcomed at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, and other officials.
Accompanied by his wife Emine Erdoğan, Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and Deputy Director of Communications Çağatay Özdemir, President Erdoğan arrived back in the country following the conclusion of the football match.
The President’s return marks the end of Turkey’s journey in Euro 2020, as the team unfortunately did not advance to the next stage of the tournament. Despite the outcome, President Erdoğan’s presence at the match highlighted the importance of sports and unity in the country.
