President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extends New Year greetings to Mehmetçik in Batman
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the 14th Unmanned Aircraft Systems Base Command in Batman, where he congratulated the Turkish soldiers serving there on the occasion of the new year. Accompanied by Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and high-ranking officials from the Turkish Armed Forces Command Level, President Erdoğan expressed his heartfelt feelings towards the soldiers and their families.
In his speech, President Erdoğan wished the security forces a successful and prosperous new year as they continue their dedicated service, both at home and abroad. He highlighted the bravery and contribution of Turkish soldiers in ensuring peace and security in the region and across the globe.
“Our army, which instills confidence in friends and fear in enemies, is a source of pride for our nation,” President Erdoğan stated, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces. He praised the advancements in the defense industry, particularly in the field of unmanned aircraft systems, making Turkey a leading player in UAV and SİHA technology.
President Erdoğan mentioned that Turkey has become one of the top countries in the world in exporting UAVs and SIHAs, with these systems protecting not only Turkish airspace but also that of over 50 friendly nations. The 14th Unmanned Aircraft Systems Base Command in Batman serves as a symbol of Turkey’s commitment to unmanned systems in homeland defense.
As he concluded his speech, President Erdoğan prayed for God’s guidance and blessings for the soldiers, expressing gratitude towards martyrs and veterans. He wished everyone a blessed new year and encouraged them to stay safe and well.
