President Ersin Tatar Celebrates Eid at Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque with the Public
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus celebrated the Ramadan Feast with the public by performing the Eid prayer at Dr Suat Günsel Mosque. In a statement, President Tatar emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity, and reconciliation during the holidays, calling for an end to resentment and conflict in the world.
President Tatar expressed his love and respect for the people of Northern Cyprus, the citizens of Turkey, and the entire Islamic world, wishing for lasting unity and solidarity. He highlighted the need for lifting embargoes on the Turkish Cypriot people and emphasized the importance of a two-state policy for achieving peace and security in Cyprus.
President Tatar also discussed the informal Cyprus meeting in Geneva, where he represented the Turkish Cypriot people’s rightful cause and received full support from the Republic of Turkey. Despite efforts for reconciliation, President Tatar noted that positive responses from other stakeholders were lacking, but he remained committed to working towards a stronger future with peace and respect.
