
President Ersin Tatar meets Çukurovalılar Association President and Board of Directors

President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus recently welcomed the Board of Directors of Çukurovalılar Association. During their meeting, President Tatar expressed gratitude for the association’s support and appreciation for their close monitoring of his government’s work.
In his remarks, President Tatar highlighted the collaborative efforts between different institutions in Turkey and the Northern Cyprus region, aimed at promoting the interests of the Turkish Cypriot people. He also acknowledged the challenges faced in achieving international recognition for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and pledged to address these issues at the upcoming meetings in Geneva.
President Tatar reiterated his commitment to a two-state solution for Cyprus, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Turkey’s guarantee and military presence in ensuring peace, security, and sovereignty for the Turkish Cypriot people. He welcomed the participation of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in the upcoming negotiations in Geneva, viewing it as a positive step towards strengthening the position of the Turkish Cypriot state.
Sabahattin Kurt, President of Çukurovalılar Association, reaffirmed their support for President Tatar’s two-state political vision and expressed solidarity with the Turkish Cypriot community. He emphasized the importance of cooperation and partnership between the two peoples in Cyprus, advocating for a peaceful and independent future for all residents of the island.
As discussions continue in Geneva and efforts towards a lasting treaty progress, President Tatar and the Çukurovalılar Association remain committed to advancing the interests and aspirations of the Turkish Cypriot people.
