President Katalin Novák Volunteers with Hungarian Reformed Charity for Homeless Christmas Gifts
President Katalin Novák of Hungary joined the Hungarian Reformed Charity on Wednesday to help pack Christmas presents for the homeless. The packages, which will be distributed by the Reformed Church’s homeless mission, include food, snacks, chocolate, Christmas candy, and health food supplements.
In addition to assisting with the packaging of gifts, President Novák also took the time to visit a homeless shelter and connect with those in need.
The charity has set a goal of reaching tens of thousands of needy people in the Carpathian Basin during the Christmas season. This includes distributing 4,000 “shoe box” presents to children in foster care and from poor families in ethnic Hungarian communities, as well as providing 6,000 packages of food to families and elderly individuals.
Furthermore, the charity is working to ensure that 125 families receive firewood during the winter season, and is also offering meals, tea, and food packages to rough sleepers.
President Novák’s involvement with the Hungarian Reformed Charity reflects the commitment and dedication to serving the community, especially during the holiday season. Her efforts, alongside those of the charity, are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
