
President Subantio of Indonesia Visits Ankara, President Erdoğan Aims for $10 Billion Trade Goal

President Erdoğan and Indonesian President Subio Strengthen Bilateral Relations
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey and President Prabowo Subio of Indonesia recently held a joint press conference at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. The meeting between the heads and delegations of the two countries aimed at enhancing their bilateral relations.
Erdoğan expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian authorities for their warm hospitality during his visit to Indonesia as part of the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. He emphasized the long history and strong ties between Turkey and Indonesia, dating back 400 years.
The two leaders discussed various sectors of cooperation, from defense and health to energy and food industries. They set a target of reaching $10 billion in trade between the two countries, highlighting the importance of strengthening ties between their peoples.
President Erdoğan praised Indonesia’s stance on international issues, particularly its support for the Palestinian cause. He mentioned Indonesia’s participation in the upcoming Antalya Diplomatic Forum and expressed his satisfaction with the growing interest in the event.
President Subio reciprocated the sentiments of friendship and cooperation, stating that Indonesia and Turkey have a shared responsibility to contribute positively to the Islamic world and create a new global order. He expressed admiration for Turkey and its historical legacy, citing it as an inspiration for Indonesia.
Both leaders reiterated their commitment to working together to promote peace and prosperity in the world. The joint press conference highlighted the strong partnership between Turkey and Indonesia, signaling a new chapter in their bilateral relations.
