President Ersin Tatar Celebrates Children at the 2nd Children’s Festival
President Ersin Tatar recently attended the 2nd Children’s Festival, a vibrant event organized by the Kyrenia Young Art Lovers Association, held at the picturesque Kyrenia Peace Park. This festival is part of the celebrations for April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, a significant occasion dedicated to cherishing the youth, a gift from the visionary leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
In his address, President Tatar expressed his joy at gathering with children and families, highlighting the importance of nurturing the nation’s future. He emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage, and the preservation of traditional games and activities is essential to passing these legacies to future generations.
Stressing the importance of instilling these cultural values in children, President Tatar noted, “Children are our most valuable assets and wealth.” He underscored that today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders, and by armoring them with cultural pride, the nation ensures its sustainable development.
Tatar also acknowledged the crucial role of culture and art in a nation’s growth, thanking the Kyrenia Young Art Lovers Association for their efforts in organizing the festival. He commended the families who foster an environment of encouragement for children and praised the teachers dedicated to their education and development.
