President Ersin Tatar meets with KEMA Foundation officials to discuss pine processionary beetle issues
President Ersin Tatar recently held a meeting with officials from the KEMA Foundation to address the growing concerns related to the pine processionary beetle. During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized the severity of the issue and the need for immediate action. He highlighted the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s commitment to addressing the problem and called for support from all stakeholders. The importance of establishing an environmental technical committee to tackle the issue was also emphasized.

They emphasized the lack of effective measures against the beetle since 2020, leading to widespread damage in forests.
