President Ersin Tatar Meets Citizens in London
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) recently met with and chatted with citizens at the British Turkish Religious Foundation Mosque in London. During his visit, he held a chat meeting with TRNC citizens following the Friday prayer, continuing his contacts in the city.
During the meeting, Tatar expressed his wish for an end to the attacks in Gaza and shared his solidarity with the people affected by the conflict. He also took the opportunity to commemorate the champion angels and citizens who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake, emphasizing that their pain will never be forgotten, and extended his wishes for patience to their families.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by citizens living abroad, Tatar emphasized the enduring strength of the ties between them and their homeland. He expressed gratitude to those who uphold the language, religion, culture, customs, and traditions of their country, ensuring that the love of their homeland is passed down to future generations.
Tatar also stressed the importance of strengthening the ties between citizens living abroad and serving the homeland and the nation as a whole.
The meeting served as an opportunity for President Tatar to engage with and support TRNC citizens living in the UK, reflecting the ongoing commitment to the well-being and unity of the Turkish Cypriot community both at home and abroad.
