President Tatar meets TR Nicosia Ambassador Serim and new advisors
President Ersin Tatar Welcomes Turkish Ambassador and New Advisors
President Ersin Tatar recently hosted a reception for the Republic of Türkiye Ambassador to Nicosia, Yasin Ekrem Serim, and the newly appointed advisors. During the reception, Tatar extended his best wishes for success to the new consultants.
In his address, President Tatar highlighted the ongoing security concerns in the Eastern Mediterranean and emphasized the importance of collaboration with Turkey on security matters such as airspace and the Blue Homeland. He stressed the significance of maintaining close contact with the appropriate authorities to address issues like irregular migration and ensure the security and peace of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Ambassador Yasin Ekrem Serim introduced President Tatar to the new Military Attaché Hüseyin Güder, as well as Internal Affairs Counselors Tamer Alpu and Soner Yıldırım. Ambassador Serim also mentioned the unwavering support provided by the Cyprus Peace Forces Command, Security Forces Command, and Police Liaison Office within the Turkish Embassy to the TRNC in security matters, highlighting their continuous efforts in this regard.
The reception served as an opportunity to reaffirm the strong bond between the TRNC and Turkey in ensuring the safety and protection of the people of Northern Cyprus. President Tatar and Ambassador Serim expressed their commitment to working together to address security challenges and promote peace in the region.
