President Ersin Tatar Meets with Turkish Cypriot and Turkish Business Community in Australia
President Ersin Tatar recently visited Sydney, where he met with members of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD), World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) Sydney branches, and Australia-based Turkish Media officials. The President was warmly welcomed by MÜSİAD Sydney President Hakan Evecek, DTİK Sydney President Hasan Gençtürk, and Australia-based Turkish Media President Yüksel Çifçi, along with other officials and members of the Turkish and Turkish Cypriot business community.
During the meeting, President Tatar expressed his happiness at meeting with successful Turkish Cypriot and Turkish business individuals based in Australia. He highlighted the accomplishments of the Turkish and Turkish Cypriot community in Australia, praising their contributions to the country’s economy and society.
President Tatar also discussed the importance of strengthening the bond between the Turkish nation and the Turkish Cypriots, emphasizing the role of the Republic of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean region. He urged business people in Australia to consider investing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which continues to progress with the support of Turkey and the resilience of the Turkish Cypriot people despite facing isolation.
The President’s visit to Australia coincided with events marking the 80th anniversary of the arrival of Turkish Cypriots in the country. He reiterated his commitment to enhancing the relationship between Turkey and the TRNC for the benefit of both nations.
