President Ersin Tatar Meets with Turkish Cypriot Associations in the UK and Australia
President Ersin Tatar recently had the honor of meeting with Kenan Nafi, President of the Turkish Cypriot Associations Council of Cypriot Associations, and Hakkı Süleyman, President of the Australian Cypriot Culture Association. During the meeting, President Tatar highlighted the importance of strengthening the ties between Turkish Cypriots living abroad and the TRNC state. He emphasized the need for unity and solidarity among Turkish Cypriots, no matter where they reside, to protect the interests of the TRNC and pass on the rightful cause to future generations.
President Tatar also expressed the significance of his visits to the UK and Australia, stating that events and festivals organized by Turkish Cypriots in these countries play a vital role in raising awareness about the TRNC on the international stage. He thanked the association presidents for their continuous efforts in promoting the Turkish Cypriot cause through joint activities and cooperation.
In response, Kenan Nafi, President of the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations in the UK, praised President Tatar’s initiatives and the impact of cultural events in enhancing the visibility of the TRNC. He proposed future collaborations between the UK, Australia, and the TRNC to amplify the voice of Turkish Cypriots worldwide.
Hakkı Süleyman, President of the Turkish Cypriot Culture Association, commended President Tatar’s visit to Australia and underscored its significance for the Turkish Cypriot community in the country. He highlighted the importance of increasing cooperation among Turkish Cypriots in Australia to strengthen their presence and influence in the global arena.
The acceptance meeting was attended by Presidential Special Advisor Gökhan Güler and Presidential Foreign Press Officer Kerem Hase, indicating the government’s commitment to engaging with Turkish Cypriot communities worldwide to advance their shared interests and aspirations.
