President Tatar notes growing TRNC perception through new investments and projects
President Ersin Tatar Highlights Importance of Tourism and Industry in TRNC
During the 37th Ordinary General Assembly of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, President Ersin Tatar emphasized the importance of tourism, new investments, and new projects in establishing the TRNC perception. He mentioned that despite the embargo and isolation, TRNC is developing, and there is a service export of 1.6 billion dollars. The President also emphasized that emphasis is placed on service exports in an island economy, and substituting imports is important to the country where the services are exported.
President Tatar also mentioned the importance of opening the Haspolat gate to trade as it will contribute greatly to trade through the Yeşit Hat charter. He added that there is great potential in TRNC, and the TRNC perception is being established with tourism, new investments, and new projects.
Expanding on the progress made, President Tatar noted that opening in Maraş, which is within the borders of TRNC State and under its sovereignty, needs to be developed by implementing projects that can benefit both peoples. President Tatar also pointed out the proposal presented to connect electricity via Turkey with a cable in July 2022 and added that the project can be completed in three months with the Republic of Turkey’s support.
President Tatar concluded his speech by saying it is their greatest wish to increase welfare and happiness in TRNC with industrialization in the agricultural field and an increase in gross national product and per capita income of the TRNC after the pandemic. He thanked all industrialists and producers and wished them success.
