
President Tatar: Turkish Cypriot Traditions Have No Gender Discrimination

President Ersin Tatar Encourages Women’s Participation in Society
President Ersin Tatar recently attended the “Essential Women Panel” organized by the Turkish Cypriot Entrepreneurial Women Association (GİKAD) in honor of International Working Women’s Day on March 8th.
During his speech at the panel, President Tatar expressed his support for all women and emphasized the importance of women’s participation in various sectors such as country administration, bureaucracy, education, health, and business. He highlighted the need for women to work alongside men to increase their representation in society.
President Tatar pointed out that data shows higher rates of success in areas where women are involved, and he encouraged women to take on more leadership roles in the management and future of the country. He also recognized the historical contributions of Turkish Cypriot women, particularly female teachers, in shaping the community.
In discussing gender equality, President Tatar emphasized that the traditions of the Turkish Cypriots promote inclusivity and do not discriminate based on gender. He praised the dedication of women in raising children and preparing them for future success in various fields.
