President Tatar Visits Champion Angels Association
President Ersin Tatar recently paid a visit to the Champion Angels Association on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the Champion Melekler. During his visit, he met with the families of the champion angels and expressed his admiration for their strength and resilience over the past two years.
Tatar declared that the city of Famagusta, which earned the title of “Gazi” in 1974, will now be known as the city of the Champion Melekler in honor of the fallen heroes. He also announced plans for a commemoration event on February 6 to remember and honor the champion angels.
In his remarks, President Tatar emphasized the need for justice and pledged the full support of the Turkish Cypriot community in seeking justice for the families of the champion angels. He assured the families that they will never be forgotten and that their sacrifice will always be remembered.
Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, President of the Association of Champion Angels Survival, also spoke about the ongoing struggle for justice and the need for closure for the families of the fallen heroes. He expressed gratitude for President Tatar’s support and emphasized the importance of seeking justice for the victims.
Karakaya highlighted the importance of education and the role of the association in helping future generations. He pledged to continue working towards preventing similar tragedies in the future through education and awareness campaigns.
