Strengthening Ties: President Tatar’s Meeting with AK Party Officials
Recently, President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) met with Eyüp Kadir İnan, the AK Party Secretary General and Izmir Deputy. The discussions underscored the importance of the Republic of Türkiye’s support for the TRNC, highlighting cooperative initiatives vital for both regions.
During the meeting, President Tatar noted the significance of the water supply project from Türkiye, often referred to as the "Project of the Century." He emphasized that this project not only enhances Cyprus’s value but also ensures the TRNC’s future development across multiple sectors, including agriculture, tourism, industry, and education. Tatar expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his unwavering support in this endeavor.
Recognizing Cyprus’s pivotal role in tourism, Tatar shared that the island has seen a continuous increase in visitors, a trend bolstered by collaborative projects. The President also touched upon the significance of the Presidential and Parliamentary buildings for the TRNC.
