
President Tokayev Discusses Kazakhstan’s National Development Plans in Exclusive Interview

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlines Kazakhstan’s development plans and priorities for 2025 in recent interview
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan recently sat down for a traditional interview with the Ana Tili national newspaper on Jan. 3, where he discussed the country’s development plans and priorities for the year 2025.
During the interview, President Tokayev touched upon various important topics, including the results of socio-economic reforms, lessons learned from past events such as the Qantar events, the significance of upholding law and order principles, and the upcoming construction of a nuclear power plant in the country.
Reflecting on the progress made in the previous year, President Tokayev stated, “I said in an interview last year that 2024 would be a defining year for Kazakhstan in many ways. And so it happened. We laid a foundation for the country’s five-year development by starting systemic and economic reforms. There are many implemented projects and initiatives in this direction, and there will be even more.”
