President Trump pledges fair agreement with China

US President Trump Vows to Make Fair Trade Agreements with China and EU
In a recent press briefing at the White House, US President Trump addressed the issue of tariffs and trade agreements with China, the European Union, and other countries. Trump declared that the United States will no longer be taken advantage of in trade deals and will put an end to losing money from trade.
“We are actively negotiating with many countries to create fair customs and trade agreements that will benefit both the US and our trading partners,” Trump stated during the briefing. He emphasized the importance of reaching fair agreements that will increase revenues in the country and reduce taxes paid by US citizens.
Specifically regarding China, Trump expressed optimism about reaching a fair trade agreement. “We will make a fair agreement with China. It will be fair. Everything is active right now. Everyone wants to be a part of what we do,” Trump said.
The President’s softened tone towards Jerome Powell, President of the US Federal Reserve, and China in recent days has sparked positive reactions in the markets. Trump’s message of being kind in negotiations with China regarding customs tariffs has raised hopes for a resolution to the ongoing trade disputes.
“We will be very kind. They will be very kind. Then we will see what will happen. But ultimately they have to make an agreement because otherwise they will not be able to do business with the United States,” Trump stated in reference to China.
Overall, Trump’s commitment to making fair trade agreements and resolving trade disputes with key trading partners signals a potential shift in US trade policies that could benefit both the country and its international partners.
