“Prime Minister Holds Festivals with Party Members in Famagusta” – BRTK
National Unity Party Chairman and Prime Minister Ünal Üsel recently attended a feast at the UBP Famagusta District Building with his wife, Zerrin Üstel, and party members. The event was also graced by the presence of President Ersin Tatar.
During his speech, Üstel highlighted the global developments and emphasized the role of Turkey in bringing the Turkish Cypriot people to where they are today. Prime Minister Ünal Üsel gathered with party members at the Famagusta District Building in celebration of Ramadan Feast.
Prior to the feast, UBP Famagusta District President Nahit Öncü expressed his happiness to be united with everyone and stressed the importance of acting as one during the holidays.
Reflecting on global events during Ramadan Feast, Prime Minister Ünal Üsel drew attention to the tragic loss of over fifty thousand lives in the events in Palestine. He recalled the pre-1974 era when Turkish Cypriots lived together with Turkey as their homeland.
Üstel emphasized the significance of recognizing the value of the established state and highlighted the importance of unity. Thanks to the economic and financial cooperation protocol signed with Turkey, a resource transfer of 21 billion was announced for infrastructure projects.
In the face of challenges posed by Southern Cyprus, Üstel expressed confidence in overcoming obstacles through unity and solidarity. He extended gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz for their support.
The visit of President Ersin Tatar was also acknowledged and appreciated by Üstel, who reiterated the importance of unity in facing various challenges as a united front.
