Progress on Infrastructure and Social Development
Prime Minister Üsel outlined several ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the well-being of the TRNC’s citizens:
- Healthcare: The Kyrenia Hospital is nearing completion, and the Güzelyurt Hospital is set to be inaugurated this year, alongside new health centers.
- Transportation: Key infrastructure projects include the completion of the Almighty Junction on the Nicosia Northern Ring Road within five months and ongoing improvements along major roadways in the region.
- Social Housing: The government is launching additional social housing initiatives, particularly focusing on meeting the needs of the youth and providing homes throughout the island.
A Vision for the Future
Emphasizing a forward-looking perspective, PM Üsel stated, “We are entering our 3rd year on May 12th. We realize the big projects needed by our people and are confidently moving toward our 2027 targets.” His remarks reflect the government’s determination to foster growth and development across various sectors.
Invitation to Teknofest
Additionally, Üsel announced the upcoming Teknofest, set to take place from May 1–4 in Northern Cyprus, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance on May 3.
