Furthermore, Üstel announced plans to develop the Mesarya Plain, with a focus on irrigated agriculture and modernizing farming practices. This initiative is expected to stimulate economic growth and reduce dependence on traditional crops such as wheat and barley.
In addition to these initiatives, Üstel also revealed plans to introduce a Mobile X-RAY Scanning System at Kyrenia Port to expedite customs procedures and facilitate trade. This system is aimed at reducing delays and improving efficiency for incoming shipments.
Looking ahead, Üstel expressed determination to continue advancing Northern Cyprus’s economy, emphasizing the importance of ongoing collaboration with Turkey. He also addressed the challenges faced by the region, including attempts by Southern Cyprus to hinder development projects.
Finally, Üstel expressed gratitude to Turkish President Erdoğan and Vice President Yılmaz for their support, highlighting the recent signing of a historic protocol for infrastructure projects in Northern Cyprus.
