Prime Minister Üsteli Inspects Construction Progress at New Kyrenia Hospital – BRTK报道
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recently visited the New Kyrenia Hospital Construction site, where he was briefed by technical teams on the progress of the project. The construction of the hospital is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with only the basement and ground floors remaining to be finished.
Oğuz Akçay, Director of the Construction Planning Department at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, mentioned that negotiations with the contractor company are ongoing to expedite the process. Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek also highlighted the rapid progress of the hospital construction and its importance in enhancing healthcare services in Kyrenia and the TRNC as a whole.
Prime Minister Üstel emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises and implementing projects that were previously unfinished. He stressed the necessity of a new hospital in Kyrenia to meet the growing population and economic development of the city.
The construction of the new hospital is seen as a significant improvement in healthcare services for the region, easing the burden on existing medical facilities. With the support of Motherland Turkey, the completion of the hospital by the end of the year is a priority for the government.
Furthermore, plans are in place to build new health centers in other regions, such as Güzelyurt, Lapta-Alsancak, Değirmenlik, and Maraş. This initiative aims to decentralize healthcare services and reduce the pressure on major hospitals like Nicosia Doctor Burhan Nalbantoğlu.
