
Proposed Amendment to Parliament’s Internal Regulations on the Agenda

UBP Group Deputy Chairman Sunat Atun and CTP Secretary General Erkut Şahali have announced plans to start work on changing the internal charter of the Republic’s Parliament. During their appearance on BRT’s 18th hour program, they discussed their decision to form a special committee for this purpose.
Sunat Atun emphasized that the goal is to add value to the Assembly and increase productivity. He mentioned the importance of working efficiently and expressed the need for amendments to the internal regulations to accelerate the processing of laws, bills, and suggestions. Atun also highlighted the significance of collaboration between UBP and CTP in implementing these changes.
Erkut Şahali noted the need for compromise and flexibility in realizing the proposed changes. He highlighted specific areas where adjustments are required, such as defining the voting procedure during the election of the Presidency of the Assembly. Şahali reassured that the discussions between UBP and CTP will involve negotiations but stressed the importance of reaching a compromise for the benefit of the Parliament.
Both Atun and Şahali mentioned the upcoming meetings between UBP and CTP to finalize the details of the internal regulation changes. They emphasized the collaborative effort and the willingness to work together towards a common goal.
