The importance of developing and implementing valid, reliable, and useful measurement and evaluation tools that align with the new curriculum’s approach has been emphasized. The tools are required to be suitable for the field and developmental characteristics of the students.

In response to these needs, the Ministry of National Education has published measurement tools suitable for 5th and 9th grade students in the Turkey Century Education Model. These tools take into account the learning outcomes and process components defined in the curriculum, using various approaches to measure them comprehensively.

Included in the tools are worksheets, open-ended questions, performance tasks, and a graded scoring key for evaluating skills. Additionally, self and peer assessment forms have been prepared for students to evaluate themselves and their peers.

These new tools aim to enhance the measurement and evaluation practices in education, providing a more comprehensive and effective way to assess student performance in line with the new holistic approach.
