Putin’s Response to Potential Russian Attack on Poland
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently gave an interview to US journalist Tucker Carlson to discuss the ongoing Russian occupation which commenced on February 24, 2022. Putin addressed claims that Russia would invade Poland and provided information about the history of Eastern Europe starting from the founding of the Russian state in the 9th century.
During the interview, Putin made a bold statement, saying that the war will end in July 2022 and revealed that the British were initially involved in an agreement to end the war in the 18th month. Putin claimed that the British pressured Ukraine into prolonging the war after initially agreeing to the peace agreement, and blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy for the situation. According to Putin, the talks regarding the peace agreement took place in Istanbul.
Despite rumors and concerns, Putin emphasized that Russia does not intend to start a war and stated that such a conflict would lead to a global war, causing destruction to all of humanity. He indicated that a conflict would only happen if Russia is attacked.
There have been worries and speculations about Russia attempting to incite a conflict with NATO by conducting an operation called “Suvalke Corridor” between Poland and Belarus. However, the Russian leader addressed this by openly stating that Russia has no intention of starting a war.
