QazaqAir to Expand Routes with Astana-Turkistan-Samarkand Flights in May

QazaqAir to Open New Route Connecting Astana, Turkistan, and Samarkand

QazaqAir, the Kazakh national airline, has announced plans to open a new route connecting Astana, Turkistan, and Samarkand starting May 1. This new route will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, increasing the total number of Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan flights from 42 to 44 per week.

Last year, QazaqAir was sold by Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund to a consortium of Vietnamese investors under the Central Asia Aviation Holdings Limited, part of Sovico Group. The new owners have ambitious plans to modernize the airline, enhance its operational efficiency, and expand its regional reach.

In the coming years, QazaqAir’s fleet will be replenished with 20 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 or Airbus aircraft. This investment in new aircraft will not only improve the airline’s service but also contribute to the growth of air travel in the region.

Travelers can look forward to more convenient connections between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with the introduction of this new route. Stay tuned for more updates as QazaqAir continues to expand its operations and improve its services.
