Worker Dies in Stone Quarry Accident in Turkey
A tragic incident took place in the Sivaslı district of Uşak, Turkey, where a worker named İsmail Taran lost his life after being buried under soil at a stone quarry. According to reports, the soil suddenly slipped and accumulated on top of Taran, trapping him beneath the ground.
Taran’s colleagues found him after about four hours of digging through the soil. The authorities were immediately notified, and the gendarmerie and medical teams were sent to the scene. Despite the interventions of the medical teams, Taran could not be saved and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Following his death, Taran’s body was sent to the Uşak Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. The cause of the soil slip is not yet clear, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
