Rauf Alp Denktaş Appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Warsaw
Rauf Alp Denktaş, the grandson of Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, has been appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Warsaw. Denktaş, who began his career in diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in 2001, has held various positions representing Turkey in Romania, Israel, the USA, and the UN. Prior to his new appointment, Denktaş was serving as the Deputy Director General for Multilateral Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
Denktaş holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bilkent University in Ankara and a master’s degree in international relations from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
The announcement regarding Denktaş’s appointment was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who also announced new embassy and permanent representation duties for several other ambassadors. It was reported that Fidan conveyed the new responsibilities to the ambassadors and wished them good luck.
In addition to Denktaş’s appointment, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director General of Information, Bilgiç, was appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Moscow, while Assoc. Dr. Mücahit Küçükyılmaz was appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Algeria.
Furthermore, the other names and their respective places of duty announced by Minister Fidan are as follows: Yunus Demirer as Turkey’s Ambassador to Bratislava, Yavuz Kül as Turkey’s Ambassador to Asuncion, Mustafa İlker Kılıç as Turkey’s Ambassador to Morocco, Mustafa Levent Bilgen as Turkey’s Ambassador to Kiev, Ambassador Nevzat Awake as the General Manager of Security Affairs at the Permanent Representation to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and Nüket Küçükel Ezberci as Turkey’s Ambassador to Madrid.
These appointments mark an important step in Turkey’s diplomatic efforts and showcase the country’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relationships with various nations around the world.
