Recognition of Turkmenistan’s Achievements by International Organizations
Turkmenistan Recognized for its Achievements in 2023
On Wednesday, December 27, at the final International Scientific and Practical Conference in Ashgabat, the successes and achievements of Turkmenistan in 2023 were highlighted. Notably, several accolades were granted by international organizations during the forum, underscoring Turkmenistan’s contributions in various fields.
One significant acknowledgment came during the plenary session, where Narine Sahakyan, the UNDP Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan, presented a letter of appreciation to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for its support of underprivileged children, recognized by the UNICEF representative office in Turkmenistan.
The government’s dedication to providing universal health coverage and ensuring accessibility to quality medicines and medical services for all was also recognized, as evidenced by the award of multiple certificates. Organizations such as the Gauting Reference Laboratory in Munich, Germany, and the International Chess Federation also acknowledged Turkmenistan’s achievements in various fields.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan’s emphasis on education and research was lauded, with UI GreenMetric World University Ranking presenting certificates to eight universities in Turkmenistan for their inclusion in the international ranking. The success extended to the recognition of Turkmenistan’s heritage, as two objects – “The Great Silk Road: Zarafshan-Karakum Corridor” and the “Turanian Deserts of the Temperate Zone” – were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The State Concern Turkmengaz was bestowed the prestigious International Quality Award – Quality Achievements Awards 2023, while the achievements of other agencies, such as Turkmensvyaz, Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship repair plant, Turkmenavtotransport agency, and Turkmen Railways were also recognized.
These accolades not only underscore the achievements of Turkmenistan in 2023 but also serve as a testament to the nation’s commitment to progress and excellence in various spheres.
