Reduced Sentences for Ertuğrul Doğan and Erden Timur

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced new decisions regarding disciplinary actions and disputes involving several football figures.

In a recent statement, the TFF revealed that the board has reviewed objections raised by Ertuğrul Doğan and Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Deputy Chairman Erden Timur. Ertuğrul Doğan had been originally sentenced to 45 days of deprivation of rights and a fine of 210 thousand liras due to unsportsmanlike behavior during an interview after the Fenerbahçe-Trabzonspor match. However, the board has decided to reduce his punishment to 30 days of deprivation of rights and a fine of 142 thousand 857.14 liras. Additionally, the 200 thousand lira fine imposed on Doğan for his comments about the referee and competition officials remains unchanged.

Similarly, Erden Timur had originally been handed a 30-day deprivation of rights and a 143 thousand lira fine for unsportsmanlike behavior and statements made about the referee and other competition officials. The TFF has decided to reduce his punishment to 21 days of deprivation of rights and a 100 thousand liras fine.

The Arbitration Board also addressed a dispute between national football player Enes Ünal and manager Batur Altıparmak. The decision states that Enes Ünal is required to pay 150 thousand euros to Batur Altıparmak due to the unfair termination of their agreement. This decision comes after the partial acceptance of Altıparmak’s request, with a 25 percent fairness reduction from the initially proposed penalty of 200 thousand euros.

These recent decisions by the TFF aim to ensure fairness and accountability within the Turkish football community, while also addressing disputes in a just and equitable manner.
