
Regular Regional General Assembly Held in Northern Cyprus – BRTK

The International Union of Democrats (UID) Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic Regional Presidency held its 2nd Ordinary Regional General Assembly. Fadıl Şanverdi was elected president at the general assembly.
The event, which took place at the Concorde Tower in Nicosia, was attended by President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the Parliament Ziya Öztürkler, Deputy President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia Yasin Ekrem Serim, ministers, members of parliament, UID members from Northern Cyprus, and guests.
The event began with a recitation of the Quran and continued with the national anthem and the introduction film of the International Union of Democrats (UID) and the International Union of Democrats (UID) Northern Cyprus.
President Ersin Tatar, Deputy President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, UID KKTC Founding Regional President Emre Kaya, UID KKTC Regional President Fadıl Şanverdi, and UID Organizational Director Mehmet Sağanak made speeches at the event.
The event concluded with a family photo shoot.
President Tatar emphasized the unity and solidarity among members of the International Union of Democrats and highlighted the importance of preserving national values and culture.
Deputy President Cevdet Yılmaz praised the successful work of the International Union of Democrats in advocating for the rights of the Turkish diaspora and supporting their integration into host societies.
UID KKTC Founder Regional President Emre Kaya expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the organization and highlighted UID’s mission of promoting justice, equality, and solidarity.
UID KKTC Regional President Fadıl Şanverdi underscored the achievements of UID in representing the Turkish diaspora and fighting against racism and social issues.
UID Organizational Director Mehmet Sağanak emphasized the importance of building a strong regional organization to break stereotypes and promote unity in the Turkish community.
Overall, the event was a platform for leaders to address important issues facing the Turkish community and highlight the mission of the International Union of Democrats in advocating for democracy, equality, and cultural preservation.
