Released Israeli Prisoners Express Gratitude to Kassam Brigades

Israeli Prisoners Thank Hamas’s Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades for Release
In a ceremony held in Deyr al-Berah in the Gaza Strip, Israeli prisoners expressed their gratitude towards Hamas’s armed wing, Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades, for their release. The prisoners, speaking at the event where they were handed over to international Red Cross teams, called for the continuation of the ceasefire and captive exchange agreement in Gaza.
One of the released prisoners, Ohad Ben Ami, a German-Israeli dual citizen, urged Israeli families to organize demonstrations to pressure the government to implement the second and third stages of the agreement. Ami, who emphasized the importance of peace between Palestinians and Israelis, criticized the government for failing to secure their release through military means.
Another prisoner, Shabi, who lost his brother in an Israeli bombing in Gaza, expressed his anger towards the government for their actions. Despite his frustrations, Shabi thanked the Kassam Brigades for keeping them alive during their captivity.
Yossi Levy, who was released as a reserve soldier, acknowledged that military tactics were not successful in gaining their freedom. He stressed the importance of continuing negotiations and honoring the agreement between Hamas and Israel.
The recent exchange saw 3 Israeli prisoners released in return for 183 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. This swap is part of a larger agreement that aims to release over 1900 Palestinian prisoners and 33 Israeli prisoners in three stages.
The ceasefire and captive exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel has been in effect since January 19, with various stages of the agreement being implemented. The exchange of prisoners has been a significant step towards fostering peace and reconciliation between the two conflicting parties.
