Renewal of Dipkarpaz Monastery Road

The long-awaited renovation of the Dipkarpaz-Monastery road has finally begun, with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, and Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, inspecting the region. Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı announced the commencement of the roadwork, stating that they have already identified locations to source materials for the construction. The road, which will be 25 kilometers long and 10 meters wide, with a two-meter walking and cycling path, is expected to revitalize the region.

Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu also emphasized the significance of the road for tourism and hinted at a future project called the Monastery Square, which aims to bring vitality to the area. In addition, Ataoğlu addressed concerns about free donkeys in the region and assured that the issue would be resolved through a protocol signed with the Municipality and Taşkent Nature Park.
