Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to Provide Free Urban Rail Systems on Republic Day
Minister Uraloğlu has announced that on October 29, Republic Day, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will offer free of charge urban rail systems for citizens. This initiative aims to make urban transportation easier for the public and improve the accessibility of rail system services on the 101st anniversary of the Republic.
In a statement, Minister Uraloğlu highlighted the importance of providing comfortable and convenient transportation for citizens on this significant day. He mentioned that in accordance with the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette on October 19, citizens will be able to use Marmaray, Başkentray, İZBAN, Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and Gayrettepe-İstanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro free of charge.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure aims to ensure that all citizens can easily travel within urban areas on Republic Day. These free urban rail systems will offer fast, efficient, and cost-effective transportation options for people throughout the day. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to enhance public transportation services and promote sustainable mobility in the country.
