Rescue Operation Saves 30 Irregular Immigrants Adrift off Muğla Coast
The Turkish Coast Guard recently carried out successful operations to rescue irregular immigrants off the coast of Datça and Bodrum.
According to a statement from the Coast Guard Command, a Coast Guard Boat was dispatched to the region after receiving information that a rubber boat carrying irregular immigrants was drifting due to engine failure near Datça. The team was able to rescue 30 individuals, including 3 children, from the rubber boat.
In a separate operation off the coast of the district, another Coast Guard Boat intercepted a moving rubber boat and apprehended 10 irregular immigrants onboard.
Additionally, a moving rubber boat detected by the Coast Guard Mobile radar off the coast of Bodrum was stopped, and 14 irregular immigrants, including 1 child, were detained.
Following the successful operations, the irregular immigrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further procedures.
