Retaliation in the West Bank: Hamas vows to hold Israel accountable for its actions

In a separate incident, 8 Israeli soldiers were wounded, 2 of them seriously, in an armed attack on the Tayasir military checkpoint in the Jordan Valley. The attacker was killed during the assault.
