Former Chief Public Prosecutor Bekir Şahin honored at farewell ceremony

During the ceremony, President Kerkez praised Sahin for his years of service and noted that he had fulfilled his duties with excellence. Sahin, in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve in his profession and expressed his desire to continue contributing in the future.

Speaking on behalf of Bekir Sahin, a colleague mentioned that Sahin had set his goal of becoming a prosecutor since his middle school years, a goal that he achieved about 35 years ago. Sahin emphasized the importance and honor of the work they do as prosecutors and underscored the need to work diligently to serve the nation.

At the conclusion of the event, President Kerkez presented Sahin with the Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Court of Appeals, in recognition of his dedication and service.

Bekir Şahin had a distinguished career, serving as a member of the Supreme Court and later as the Chief Public Prosecutor. He handed over his position to Muhsin Şentürk in 2024 and continued his work as a member of the 2nd Legal Department of the Supreme Court of Appeals. The farewell ceremony was a fitting tribute to his years of service and commitment to upholding justice.
