Revival of the Ataturk Peace Prize: Celebrating 25 Years
After a long hiatus, the prestigious Atatürk International Peace Award is set to make a comeback in 2025. The award, which was first established in 1986, had not been presented since 2000 due to legislative issues surrounding the organizational law of the Atatürk Culture, Language and History Supreme Institution.
Affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Atatürk Culture, Language and History Supreme Institution has confirmed that they will be working towards granting the Atatürk International Peace Award next year. The institution will be following their strategic plan to ensure that the award is given out in 2025.
Candidates for the award will be proposed by the Award Board and will then need to receive approval from the President. The final decision on the winners of the Atatürk International Peace Award will be announced on October 29, after they have been officially endorsed by the President.
This news is sure to be met with excitement and anticipation, as the Atatürk International Peace Award recognizes individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to peace and harmony in the world.
