Nicosia Roads to be Closed for Peace and Freedom Day Rehearsal
In preparation for the upcoming 49th anniversary of the 20 July Peace and Freedom Day, certain roads in Nicosia will be temporarily closed to traffic. This is to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted rehearsal for the ceremony.
As announced by the Police Press Officer, the road route between the “Honda Traffic Lights Junction, Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction, and Gonyeli Circle” will be closed from 07:00 until the end of the rehearsal. This closure aims to maintain the safety and security of participants and the general public.
During the rehearsal, alternative routes will be made available for traffic to ensure minimal disruption. It is advised for motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated detour signs.
